Meh...I hate shopping at times.

My only options for remote releases for my camera appear to be either an MC-30 for $54, an MC-36 for $139, or an Adidt knockoff of the MC-30 that is going for $9.99 on Ebay but seems to be VERY hit or miss as to if it'll actually work or not.

I need a new tripod too. I found the head I want, but I'm debating if I REALLY want to spend the extra $150 or so on a Carbon Fiber tripod or just stick with aluminum(do I really need a $350 tripod?)

ya know, I have been using a fred meyers $20 tripod for about 2 years now...i only dented one leg shutting it in the truck door, but it's stood up remarkebly well.

I have a Slik spotting scope tripod I've been using for the last 15 years, and its finally getting creaky enough that I need to replace it. I lost several very good photos at Mt Rushmore due to motion blur from the tripod shake as I depressed the shutter. Its been good to me, but I want this head, and I'm looking into getting a carbon fiber tripod mostly for its non-conductance(of heat). The lack of weight is nice, but the one I have now is light enough. We shall see though.
